Congressman Scott Meets with President Obama in the White House

Scott urges President Obama to continue production of F-22

Congressman Scott joins the Blue Dog Coalition in a White House meeting with President Obama this evening. Congressman Scott will join the discussion on the economic recovery package and will again raise the issue of continuing production of the F-22 Raptor with President Obama. Last week Congressman Scott was able to bring concerns of Lockheed Martin, Marietta to President Obama at the Democratic Caucus issues retreat:

“I look forward to having another opportunity to speak with President Obama about continuing to fund the production of the F-22 Raptor Fighter Jets,” commented Rep. Scott. “This is an immense opportunity to help secure jobs for the almost 100,000 Lockheed Martin employees and others that work on this aircraft and an essential component of our national security.

Congressman Scott’s 13th Congressional District includes Marietta, home to the F-22 plant.
