Congressman David Scott (D-GA) was recognized by Ebony Magazine as one of “The Ebony Power 150: The Most Influential Blacks in America”. Ebony’s Power list recognizes inspirational individuals from politics, business, education, entertainment, public service and religion and the broad impact that African-Americans have on our society.

Since its 1963 inception, Ebony's presentation of the list - formerly the "100+ Most Influential Black Americans"- has been one of the most annually anticipated features of the magazine. It is the “Who's Who in Black America”, highlighting those who have the capacity to influence a substantial segment of the Black population.

“I am humbled to be among Ebony’s Power 150”, said Scott. “Each year Ebony Magazine recognizes African-American leaders who are undoubtedly shaping our world and I am honored to be considered one of these individuals. Thank you to Ebony Magazine for recognizing me and congratulations to my fellow leaders.”

Ebony Magazine's "Power 150" for 2008 marks the 45th consecutive year for the list. The list can be found in the May issue on newsstands nationwide.
