Today Congressman David Scott (GA-13) praised the employees and executives of Delta Air Lines for the company’s successful emergence from Chapter 11.

“This is indeed an extraordinary moment in the history of American business,” said Congressman Scott. “Delta fought hard as a company to come back from bankruptcy. Employees at all levels made difficult sacrifices time and time again. I worked tirelessly on behalf of the thousands of Delta employees who live in my district to help Delta keep its pension plan and emerge from bankruptcy as a stand alone carrier. Under brilliant management and leadership, Delta has now exited their bankruptcy plan one year ahead of schedule and stands stronger and better positioned to compete globally.”
