FY 2013 Budget Finally Passes
The House found bi-partisan agreement to fund the government through the end of the fiscal year without the threat of a shutdown. Today, the House passed the Department of Defense, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act (H.R. 931) by a vote of 318-109. The Senate passed the measure yesterday by a bipartisan vote of 73-26 and the the measure will now go to the President for his signature into law. The bad news is that sequestration cuts will continue and other budget fights could occur later in the year.
