The economy has been slowly improving over the last few months.  However, foreclosure rates in Georgia continue to cause hardship for thousands of families.  In an effort to help, I am sponsoring a two-day  event, in conjunction with the US Departments of Treasury and HUD, to help homeowners save their homes.  Banks and counselors will be on site to individually work with homeowners who are having mortgage problems.

When: Friday, June 17, from 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 18, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Where: Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park, GA  30337.

Documents to bring: Please remember to bring copies of your monthly mortgage statement and other information about your mortgage.  Also, bring two of your most recent pay stubs and other income information such as small business income, Social Security payments or unemployment benefits.  You should be sure to bring copies of your two most recent bank statements and a utility bill.  For more details about documentation visit my web page: https://davidscott.house.gov/.

Driving and MARTA directions: You can take MARTA to the Airport Station and ride the new Sky Train to the convention center for free.  Parking at the GICC is $3.  Driving directions can also be found at the convention center website:    http://www.gicc.com/map.asp
