New Credit Card Rules

Today, new credit card rules take effect. These new rules ensure that consumers are protected from gimmicky fees and surprise rate hikes. While every consumer needs to be vigilent about their use of credit, there has been a lot of discussion that credit card rules have been using too much fine print to confuse consumers. These new rules were created by the passage of the Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 (Credit Card Act), which I supported.
