Healthcare consistently ranks as one of my highest priorities while serving Georgia’s 13th Congressional District. That is why each year I host a Health Fair to provide access to free preventative medical care from our region’s best doctors, nurses, hospitals and healthcare professionals for my constituents.
Health Fair attendees receive free life-saving screenings that include: breast cancer screenings, prostate cancer exams, HIV testing, blood pressure checks, blood donation, body mass index, dental, glucose, kidney function tests, cholesterol, orthopedic, spinal, general vision, glaucoma and many more. Participants have included: Emory Hospital, Grady Health System, Morehouse School of Medicine, WellStar, AID Atlanta, Sisters By Choice, Radiotherapy Clinics, American Kidney Fund, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Clayton County Senior Services, Insure Georgia, CareSource, SSA, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, CDC, FDA, DFCS, and others.

COVID-19 Drive-Thru Testing Events: Due to these unprecedented times and CDC guidelines on social distancing, this year I hosted a free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing and Food Distribution on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Mundy's Mill High School to help my constituents live their healthiest lives possible. On Saturday, September 19, 2020, I will host another free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing and Food Distribution, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, at Word of Faith Cathedral in Austell, Ga.
