About the Congressional Art Competition
Each Spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. The winning artwork for Georgia’s Thirteenth Congressional District (1st and 2nd place pieces) will be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol or Congressman Scott’s Washington offices.
The 2026 Congressional Art Competition has launched, and students can contact their art teachers regarding artwork submissions. The competition is open to all high school students who reside in the Thirteenth District. The first-place art piece will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol, the second-place piece will be displayed in Congressman Scott’s Washington office, and the third-place piece will be displayed in the Youth Art Gallery on T Concourse at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Fourth and Fifth place pieces will be displayed in Congressman Scott’s district office. All pieces will be on display for one year.
The deadline for submissions to the Thirteenth Congressional District’s 2026 Art Competition is Monday, April 20, 2026. All submissions should be submitted through high school art teachers in the Thirteenth District. The 2026 Student Release form must be attached to it.
