Project Name: Henry County East-West Connection Improvement Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: Henry County

Amount Requested: $6,000,000

Explanation of Request: Henry County would use this funding to resurface seven miles of Hudson Bridge Road, Eagles Landing Parkway, and East Lake Parkway, which is one continuous road. This provides vital east-west connection and access to the Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Project Name: Douglas County Road Resurfacing Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: Douglas County Board of Commissioners

Amount Requested: $1,703,000

Explanation of Request: The Douglas County Board of Commissioners would use this funding to resurface 2.6 miles of Post Road from Highway 166 to East Carroll Road, which has not been resurfaced in 30 years.

Project Name: Rockdale Veteran Transportation Assistance Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: Rockdale County

Amount Requested: $140,000

Explanation of Request: Rockdale County would use this funding to purchase a new vehicle to supplement its Veteran Transportation Program, which assists honorably discharged Rockdale County veterans of any age with trips to the Veterans Hospital in Decatur and the VA clinics in Stockbridge and Covington.

Project Name: City of Jonesboro Pedestrian Improvements Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of Jonesboro

Amount Requested: $3,028,359

Explanation of Request: The City of Jonesboro would use this funding to make pedestrian improvements in high-traffic areas, including the installment of sidewalk, adding pedestrian crosswalks, installment of ADA accessibility features, lighting, and turnup/turndown walls as required to tie with existing grades.

Project Name: Transit Rider Information & Passenger Signage (TRIPS) Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: MARTA

Amount Requested: $408,000

Explanation of Request: The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) would use this funding to purchase and install 68 display screens, 23 at bus stop locations and 45 on buses that operate within District 13.

Project Name: Union City Streetscape Improvements Project       

Requesting Organization/Entity: Union City

Amount Requested: $3,500,000

Explanation of Request: Union City would use this funding to construct 10.2 miles of trail, connecting the city to three parks, two community hubs, and eighteen MARTA bus stops. Additionally, the city would use this funding to rehabilitate the Flat Shoals Road Pedestrian Bridge and streetscape WestBrook Street. Together, these efforts will address safety concerns, bolster ADA accessibility, and access to public transportation.

Project Name: Lower Woolsey Road Infrastructure Improvements Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of Hampton

Amount Requested: $200,000

Explanation of Request: The City of Hampton would use this funding to support completion of the preliminary steps of making improvements along Lower Woolsey Road, including the planning and designing. The project promotes safe connectivity on a heavily traveled arterial roadway and include a 10’ multi-use trail, ADA accessible sidewalk installations, landscaping, hardscaping, drainage improvements, pavement resurfacing, and vehicular and pedestrian lighting to improve safety.

Project Name: College Park Lead/Galvanized Water Service Line Replacement Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of College Park

Amount Requested: $295,200

Explanation of Request: The City of College Park would use this funding to replace the current lead/galvanized water pipes with ductile iron pipes suitable to source water for the current community. The proposed six-inch (6”) water line will provide an additional 1,000 linear feet. Of that, 730 feet would be the installation of ductile pipe.

Project Name: City of South Fulton Stormwater Repairs and Replacement Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of South Fulton

Amount Requested: $1,409,400

Explanation of Request: The City of South Fulton would use this funding to repair catch basin inlets, separated storm pipes, headwalls, replace corrugated metal pipes (CMPs), broken reinforced concrete pipes (RCPs), catch basin tops as well as backfill, asphalt and/or sod placement. Together, these efforts will improve the City’s stormwater system.

Project Name: City of Fairburn Water Supply Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of Fairburn

Amount Requested: $1,512,636

Explanation of Request: The City of Fairburn would use this funding to connect to an additional water source. This connection will include a water booster pumping station and interconnecting 12-inch water mains from the water source to the nearest connection point in Fairburn. Together, these efforts will upgrade the City's water infrastructure and ensure strong water pressure which will assist in public safety efforts.

Project Name: City of East Point Elevated Storage Tank Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of East Point

Amount Requested: $2,500,000

Project Description: The City of East Point would use this funding to add water storage capacity to service the City of East Point's population. More specifically, an additional tank in the distribution system will be used to: (1) improve the operational efficiency of the water distribution system and other the City’s existing water storage tank to operate properly; (2) prolong the life of the high-service pumps at the Water Treatment Plant; (3) to preserve life, health, and safety of residents and visitors in the area; and (4) promote economic development for the community that has been 2 economically deprived for decades. The elevated tank will have a maximum hydraulic grade line of 1,170 feet and a capacity of 1.25 MG.

Project Name: City of Fayetteville Stormwater Rehabilitation Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: City of Fayetteville

Amount Requested: $1,000,000

Explanation of Request: The City of Fayetteville would use this funding to line three 72-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe culverts under Pye Court immediately upstream of Pye Lake, add additional piping and establish a drainage ditch to expand capacity of the storm drainpipe at Deep Forest Lane and Oak Street intersection, and lining an existing drainage system running approximately 1,500 feet along Carriage Lane. Together, these efforts will ensure no disruption to utilities and upgrade current deterioration.

Project Name: Newton County Sheriff Department Equipment Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: Newton County Sheriff’s Department

Amount Requested: $38,940

Explanation of Request: The Newton County Sheriff’s Office would use this funding to purchase ten FAP-30 FBI-certified LES fingerprint sensors that would be used for mobile applications such as roadside stops, crime scene investigations, and serving warrants. Together, this equipment would give the law enforcement agency the capability to fingerprint offenders and victims efficiently and quickly.

Project Name: South Fulton Police Department High Visibility Traffic Enforcement Project

Requesting Organization/Entity: South Fulton Police Department

Amount Requested: $404,790

Explanation of Request: The South Fulton Police Department would use this funding to purchase six standard police cruisers which would conduct high-visibility enforcement targeting impaired drivers, speeders, distracted drivers, and safety belt violators.

Requesting Organization/Entity: Fayetteville Police Department

Amount Requested: $87,000

Explanation of Request: The Fayetteville Police Department would use this funding to purchase three Raman spectroscopy narcotics analyzers and opioid/heroin testing kits. Together, these efforts will ensure efficient prosecution and enhance the safety of first responders.
