Congressman David Scott Announces 2020 Military Academy Nominations

Today Congressman David Scott announced the names of nineteen students from Georgia’s Thirteenth District who have been nominated for admission to the U.S. Air Force Academy, Military Academy at West Point, Naval Academy, or Merchant Marine Academy.

Congressman Scott will present congressional nominations to the students during a special ceremony on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at Brawner Hall in Smyrna, Ga.

“Each year I am deeply honored to nominate exceptional students from all across the Thirteenth District who want to attend a military academy and serve our country,” said Scott. “Military academies provide students a distinguished and rigorous education valued at more than $400,000, as well as the path to a rewarding career as commissioned officers for the U.S. Armed Forces.”
