Our Washington, D.C. office can arrange for you to visit various attractions in and around our nation's capital.  All tour requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  There are no guarantees that tours will be granted. 

PLEASE NOTE:
April through August are the busiest tourist months in Washington, D.C. During this period, tours are available on an extremely limited basis, so please make your requests as soon as possible.

TOUR INFORMATION:

THE WHITE HOUSE Public tours will be available Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 AM until 11:30 AM and Friday through Saturday from 7:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Tours are extremely limited and not guaranteed. Completed tour requests must be submitted no later than 21 days and no more than 90 days in advance of the requested tour dates. The White House Visitors Office grants tours on a first-come, first-served basis, so please submit your request to our office as soon as possible.

UNITED STATES CAPITOL - The Capitol Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.  All tours, programs and activities are free of charge and led by professional tour guides. Visitors are encouraged to book a timed-entry tour pass. Reservations are recommended, not required, and same day passes may be available. Visitors without reservations should arrive at the Capitol Visitor Center as early in the day as possible to obtain passes. The last tour of the day begins at 3:20 p.m.

LIBRARY OF CONGRESS - The Library of Congress is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, with the exception of Thursday, 10am - 8pm. Reserve free timed-entry tickets online before your visit to the Library. Tickets are available 30 days in advance.

THE SUPREME COURT - The Supreme Court Building is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed on weekends and all federal holidays. Admission is free. Visitors should be aware that the business of the Court may affect public access to the building and visitor programs. Please check Today at the Court on the homepage for the Court’s daily calendar.

NATIONAL ARCHIVES Reservations are not required for individuals or groups wishing to enter through the general public entrance. Open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Last admission is 30 minutes to closing. Closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day. Plan on spending at least 90 minutes viewing a 17-minute introductory film in the McGowan Theater and visiting three exhibit galleries - the Lawrence F. O’Brien changing exhibit gallery, the Public Vaults permanent exhibit gallery, and the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom - home of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. 

THE KENNEDY CENTER - Free daily guided tours of the Campus are given by Friends volunteers, showcasing the historic events that led up to the establishment of the national cultural center that is also our nation's living memorial to President John F. Kennedy. Open Mon. - Fri. from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., and Sat. - Sun. from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Last weekday tour departs at 2:30 p.m. and last weekend tour departs at 12:30 p.m. Campus tours are not available for the following holidays: New Years, July 4, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All tours of the Campus start at the Tour Desk on Level A.
