“I was pleased to vote in favor of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, legislation signed into law by President Biden this past week. The bill institutes common-sense measures for the purchase and possession of firearms and will invest in the mental health needs of our communities,” said Congressman David Scott. “While my colleagues in Congress and I continue to push for comprehensive legislation to confront gun violence, this bill takes a monumental step forward for all Americans.”
